Anyone visiting the beaches should stay out of the surf. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

Engine Company No. 1 host's its Annual Ice Rescue Tech Certification Class.  The class is held over two days (Sat and Sun) in late January or early February. This is one of the most challenging and rewarding classes you will ever take.  Over the past 12 years, Engine company No. 1, along with Lifeguard Systems has certified over 1000 first responders.   This class is open to all Emergency Services Personnel (Fire, Police, EMS).  For more information, please click here.
